Operation Pocket Full of Wishes
Operation: Pocket Full of Wishes was originally a series of eight cards that mimicked the shopping aides found inside American Girl Place. Eventually, the project became national news—and lead to my getting banned from the store. Here are the cards that started it all. They can be printed out, cut apart, and placed in the “Pocket Full of Wishes” folders. They are intended to be distributed inside American Girl Place to young shoppers to facilitate dialogue about girls desires, needs, and rights in a consumerist culture.
